We use environmentally friendly cleaning and oil control products; these products are also sold separately. The modern tank barges and tank ships of Jongen are frequently used for the transport and storage of wastewater.

Our fleet is also being used for floating storage. Furthermore, Jongen engages in more services, such as the cleaning and controlling of oil spills. When oil ends up in water, it spreads quickly in thin layers. Therefore, it is important that the spreading is contained to a minimum as quick as possible. To minimize the pollution, so-called oil barriers are utilized, afterwards the oil is being extracted from the surface.
